Learn to recognize emergencies and provide first aid until advanced help arrives.
The Heartsaver First Aid course teaches participants how to respond to and manage common medical emergencies until professional help arrives. This course is designed for individuals with little or no medical training, including employees, teachers, coaches, childcare providers, and members of the public. Through hands-on practice with a certified instructor, you will build the confidence and skills needed to act quickly and effectively in real-world emergency situations.

Recognizing Medical Emergencies
- Identify signs of life-threatening conditions and know when to call 911.

First Aid for Bleeding & Shock
- Control severe bleeding, recognize shock, and provide appropriate care.

Treatment of Burns & Injuries
- Properly treat minor and major burns, cuts, fractures, and sprains.

Handling Choking Emergencies
- Perform the Heimlich maneuver on adults, children, and infants.

Responding to Allergic Reactions
- Recognize anaphylaxis and assist with epinephrine auto-injectors.

Environmental Emergencies
- Manage heat stroke, hypothermia, frostbite, and other environmental conditions.
